Biographical note Zaven Kouyoumdjian (1970) is a Lebanese TV talk show host, producer and media researcher. He holds a Masters degree in Media Studies; teaches at several Lebanese universities, and works as a media consultant for several NGOs and private sector firms. Zaven began his television career as a news reporter and anchor at Lebanon’s state-run Tele Liban channel in 1992, and in 1996 he presented his first prime time talk show (5 over 7) on TL. Following a controversial episode in 1999, Zaven moved to Future Television to launch his famous pan-Arab top-rated talk show, “An Open Subject” (Sire Wenfatahit). Best known for discussing taboo and edgy topics, the show established Zaven as a leader in Arab Social talk TV. Zaven was later recognized for creating breakthrough trends that bridged the gap between Lebanese mainstream media and online social media cultures, and was named one of the most influential people in the Middle East by 'Newsweek' magazine in 2005. To date, Zaven has published four books: 'Lebanon Shot Twice' (An Nahar Publishing House 2003), a bestseller photography book featuring the untold stories of the Lebanese civil war. 'Good Evening' (Hachette Antoine 2015) on the Top 100 moments that shaped Lebanese Television. “Lebanon on Screen: The Greatest Moments of Lebanese Television and Pop Culture” (Hachette Antoine 2016). www.zavenonline.com زافين قيومجيان- إعلامي لبناني تخصّص في الإعلام المرئي والمسموع في الجامعة اللبنانية الأميركية، وتابع دراسته العليا في الإعلام في جامعة سيدة اللويزة. بدأ زافين مسيرته المهنية في العام 1992 مراسلًا إخباريًّا في تلفزيون لبنان، حيث تنقّل بين نشرات الأخبار والبرامج السياسية. تخصّص في البرامج الحوارية الإجتماعية بعد أن انضمّ إلى تلفزيون المستقبل عام 1999. عرف زافين شهرةً واسعة لِما أرساه من أسسٍ جديدة في مجال معالجة الشأن الإجتماعي على الشاشات اللبنانية والعربية. برز بأسلوبه المميّز في مقاربة القضايا الإجتماعية الساخنة، وبمساهمته في هدم الهوة بين التلفزيون ووسائل التواصل الإجتماعي الحديثة. نال عدّة جوائز وشهادات تقدير عربية وعالمية، واختارته مجلة نيوزويك الأميركية عام 2005 واحدًا من بين الشخصيّات الأكثر تأثيرًا في الشرق الأوسط. إلى جانب عمله في التلفزيون، يحاضر زافين في عدّة جامعات ومعاهد لبنانية، وينظّم دورات تدريبية إعلامية للطلاب وذوي الإختصاص. في رصيده أربعة كتب: لبنان فلبنان (2002) وشاهد على المجتمع (مع د. دوللي حبّال، 2012)، أسعد الله مساءكم (2015) و'Lebanon on Screen, The Greatest Moments of Lebanese Television and Pop Culture' (2016).-
