Biographical note كاتب من فلسطين، ولد في رام الله لعائلة لاجئة من مدينة اللد. حاصل على ماجستير في الدراسات الإسرائيلية من جامعة بيرزيت. له كتابات في عدد من الصحف والمجلّات العربية في مجالَي النقد الأدبي والسينما.-Balqis, Youssef, Walid, and Ghassan. Youssef, the poet, escapes from the normality of his existence into a meticulously crafted image that he never reaches. Walid, the rebel, fights, fleeing from the ghosts of the dead. Balqis commits emotional crimes and wonders: am I Raskolnikov or Sonia? And Ghassan seeks refuge in monotony, escaping the shantytown of Chatila stained with the blood of the massacre. This is a novel for all those who are haunted by questions. For all those who have reached the limits of weariness and returned from there. It contains a sick love and a severed relationship. It portrays the strained relationships that humans try to alleviate their anxiety with. It showcases the small heroic acts of some anonymous figures. It depicts the extraordinary in the ordinary, which is present in the life of each of us. It features four characters who constantly escape forward, perpetually yearning for the lost paradise, despite their firm belief that it is merely an illusion.
