General Terms and Conditions of Sales for all products sold by Culture & Co Bookstore LLC

Article 1 – Preamble

The following conditions apply to the sales of books, stationery items, arts and crafts items and games by the Culture & Co Bookstore LLC company, Al Nasr Plaza, Al Nasr Sports Club St, Oud Metha, DUBAI.

 

Article 2 – Prices

All prices are indicated in Emirati Dirhams, except when otherwise mentioned. Prices do not include handling fees and shipping fees.

All orders must be paid in Emirati Dirhams, regardless of the country they originated from.

The Culture & Co Bookstore Company reserves the right to modify its prices at any time. However, the purchased item will be invoiced based on the price that was registered at the time the order was validated, subject to availability.

All products remain the property of the Culture & Co Bookstore Company until full payment has been received.

Disclaimer : as soon as the ordered goods have been physically delivered to you, any risk of loss of or damage to the goods shall pass to you.

The Culture & Co Bookstore LLC Company reserves the right not to register a payment and not to confirm an order for any reason, particularly in case of supply issues or any difficulty related to the placed order.

 

Article 4 – Order validation

Any order placed on the website www.culturecodubai.com implies you adhere to these General Conditions. Any order validation constitutes your full and unconditional acceptance of the general conditions of sales.

All data provided and the saved order validation will be evidence of the transaction.

You declare that you have been fully informed.

Your order validation will act as a signature and as an acceptance of the operations performed.

All information concerning your order, along with the General Conditions, will be sent to you via the email address you used to confirm your order.

 

Article 5 – Payment

Once you validate the order, you must pay the indicated price.

Payment is by credit card via the secure system PAYTABS.

The credit card will only be debited once the order is being shipped. In case of split deliveries, only the products that are being shipped will be debited.

 

Article 6 – Withdrawal

You are entitled to a 7-day withdrawal period from the moment you receive your products to return an article, with the exception of school textbooks and school stationery, which cannot be returned.

All returned products are your responsibility and must be sent in their original condition and in full (including packaging, accessories, notice…). Any damage to the product may cancel your right of withdrawal.

Return shipping costs are your responsibility if you return the product because you no longer want it. Return shipping costs are our responsibility if the received product is defective.

In case of withdrawal, the Culture & Co Bookstore LLC Company will reimburse all paid amounts within 14 days following your notification. Reimbursement will be via the payment method used to place the order.

 

Article 7- Availability

Our products are on offer as long as they are visible on the Culture & Co Bookstore LLC website and as long as stocks last. For products that are not in our stores, our offers are subject to availability with our suppliers.

In the event that an order is placed for an unavailable product, you will be informed by email. Your order will be automatically cancelled and you will not be debited.

Article 8 – Delivery

The purchased items are delivered to the address mentioned during the order process, within the timeframe indicated on the order validation page.

In case of delay with the delivery, you will be notified by email.

In the event of a courier company managing the delivery, the Culture & Co Bookstore LLC company cannot be held accountable for any delivery delay exclusively due to the customer’s unavailability after several timings have been suggested for delivery.

 

Article 9 – Warranty

All of our products come with the legal guarantee of conformity of goods and with the warranty against latent defects. In case of non-conformity of a purchased item, the item can be returned, exchanged, or reimbursed.

Any complaints, exchange requests or reimbursement requests must be made by email within one week from delivery date.

All items must be returned in full, in their original purchase condition -with any accessory, packaging, notice… Shipping fees will be reimbursed based on the invoiced rate and return costs will be reimbursed upon presentation of the shipping invoice.

 

Article 10 – Liability

The Culture & Co Bookstore LLC company cannot be held accountable for any damage resulting from an improper use of the purchased item.

The Culture & Co Bookstore LLC company cannot be held accountable for any inconvenience or damage inherent in the use of the Internet, including an interruption or rupture of the service, an external intrusion, or the presence of computer viruses.

 

Article 11 – Disputes and applicable law

NOTE: The present contract has been recorded in the French language; all translation on the site is given for information purposes only.

These terms and conditions fall under Emirati law. In the event of a dispute, Emirati tribunals shall have sole jurisdiction.

 

Article 12 – Intellectual property

All elements of the www.culturecodubai.com website are and remain the sole and exclusive intellectual property of the Culture & Co Bookstore LLC Company. No one, in whatever capacity, is authorized to reproduce, exploit, reuse, or use, even partially, the elements of the website, be they software, visual or audio. Any simple or hypertext link is strictly forbidden without prior express written consent of the Culture & Co Bookstore LLC Company.

The Culture & Co Bookstore LLC Company reserves the right to collect your personal information and data. They are required to handle your order and improve the services and information we are providing.

They will only be transmitted to related companies, such as the companies handling the delivery or payment.

Article 14 – Record keeping proof

The Culture & Co Bookstore LLC Company will keep a copy of the purchase orders and invoices on a reliable and durable storage device.

The computerized records of the Culture & Co Bookstore LLC Company shall be deemed proof –by all parties- of all communications, orders, payments and transactions that occurred between the parties.
