"This is Beirut," she said... A woman standing tall like a legend, strong, beautiful, and mysterious. I noticed her draped shawl cascading from her uplifted shoulders, flowing down towards her slender waist and reaching the tips of her feet. I saw her bracelets, earrings, and golden necklaces adorned with emeralds and rubies, dangling from her wrists, ears, and her ivory laughing neck. In her eyes, I saw that profound feminine tenderness that remains exclusive to mothers... And above her lips, I read the glow of warmth, joy, and serenity.
